Chronic Illness & Cancer Support

Statistics are telling us that in 2005 almost one out of two adult Americans had at least one chronic illness.  Sadly, many are children.  Three out of every four dollars spent providing health care will be spent on the treatment of chronic disease and more than 90% of patients will not have adequate health coverage for treatments.  Sixty percent of those affected by chronic illness are between 18 – 64 years of age.  Ninety six percent have an illness that is invisible – this means they don’t use canes, crutches or other visible devices.  They appear healthy but they never feel good and their productivity is low. Four major causes of chronic illness are:  sedentary life-style, poor nutrition, alcohol consumption, and the use of tobacco.   When approaching the treatment of chronic illness one has to embrace the sad reality behind it’s major cause and ask the question: how it is possible that one of the wealthiest and better educated nations in the world can make such poor life style choices?

Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine provides a soothing environment and support. Treatments are helpful in re-establishing the body’s innate uprightness, strength and stamina. Acupuncture helps the patient feel better physically and emotionally. In time, many patients regain their physical strength and mobility, their immune system is stabilized and the intake of medications is reduced.

Although almost every other adult in America suffers from at least one chronic condition, it is important to remember that these diseases are preventable and in many cases can be completely reversed.
